The short version
What you can safely tell people
If you work with small charities, community groups or members of the public and you want somewhere free to send them, this page tells you exactly what is on offer and exactly what is not, so you are never caught out.
What you can point people at
- Recognised charities and community organisations can apply for fully funded access to the platform. No cost to them.
- Any individual or family can use the free online safety check. No application, no cost, nothing to buy.
Both are paid for by CyberSafe Foundation C.I.C., a not for profit community interest company.
What you should not point people at
- Small businesses, schools, care providers and public authorities all pay for the platform commercially.
We say this plainly because public sector partners are often not permitted to advocate a service that carries a fee, and we would rather you heard the boundary from us than found it later.
Why you can rely on it
The things a referrer usually needs to check
What we can give your team
All of this is free and there is nothing to sign. We work with police, councils and community safety partners.
- A one page leaflet with QR codes, designed to be handed over in person.
- A short paragraph you can drop into a newsletter, bulletin or briefing.
- A session for your team, in person or online, explaining what the offer is and who it suits, so your people can answer questions confidently.
- A named contact who answers emails, so a referral never disappears into a queue.
